1978 Z1R TC
One of approximately 30 of the original but late Stardust Silver Z1-R TC’s built just prior to the Molly version.
These few examples were built due to the Molly paint sets being behind schedule.

MTC 2-stage lock-up clutch with 35mm clutch cover spacer
MTC Forged 78mm (1261cc) 8.1:1 CR
APE Cylinder stud kit
Head ported (41mm) and flowed
APE Valve springs
Viton race stem seals
Manley valves throughout
Cam Motion camshafts
APE Camshaft end plugs
Dual crankcase breathers into 1-way flame/oil trap (valve cover & lower crankcase)
Output well over 200 RWHP

Turbocharger System
Rajay 370 F40 turbocharger with A-flow (unclipped F-flow) turbine shaft, F-flow compressor wheel
ATP Gen 2 “Spyder“ system
Ported compressor housing
Wastegate overhauled with “40lb” 8-wind spring kit

Fuel System
Pingel fuel tap with in-line large bore fuel filter
Mikuni HSR42 slide carb, 240 main jet, 40 pilot, 97 jet needle
K&N air filter in correct triangulated housing in full stainless steel

Ignition System
Dynatek Dyna 2000 (DDK2-1)
Dynatek 3ohm Mini coils
MSD 8mm silicone race leads
Standard 40 degrees BTDC (fully advanced) with boost retard solenoid kit (-4 degrees @ 6psi)
NGK B8ES plugs (0.55mm gap)

Braking System
Standard Kawasaki front calipers with stainless pistons, Dunlopad sintered pads & D3 (+10mm) master
cylinder lever
Standard Kawasaki rear caliper with sintered pads
Both master cylinders fully rebuilt
New genuine brake hoses throughout
